Whether it is relaxing or vigorous, sex can help tone up and stretch every muscle in the body, granted you are not just in one position the whole time, and lying on your back like a dead fish. It can actually be as energising as any water or land sport out there, without the necessary props and equipment.Depending on how adventurous you are, it can also be a great tummy tightener for both men and women. It keeps the joints subtle too.

Looking deeper, sex also helps with blood circulation. For the heart, that can only mean good things too, not just for circulation but in exercising the heart muscles. Several studies in the US, Canada, the UK and Israel had found that men and women with heart ailments had no regular sex.

And if you suffer from mild arthritis, it seems that sex - from improved circulation - can actually alleviate the symptoms. Whether or not you subscribe to these findings, the fact of the matter is that regular sex does improve red blood cell count and can boost one's immune system. (To be continued)
