LADIES OF THE NIGHT

Society at large is so judgemental. I don't know how things are like elsewhere but over here, it's like the ladies of the night are often looked upon with scorn, as if they are doing something so bad.

They are merely meeting the demand for their services. Many women harp their moralistic tunes about how a woman should respect her body and not stoop so low. Now here is a thought. Could it be, could it just be that some of these night ladies out there really do enjoy their work?

I've met several over the course of my work and found that contrary to the populist opinion, that they are forced to do it due to for several reasons, mainly that they need the money or were coerced by devious men. Yes, these groups of women do exist but there are corrupt bank officials and does that mean that all bankers are corrupt. Yes, I know it is a very simplistic view but sometimes, people try to be too smart and over-think things. And this we all know often leads to being judgemental.

The women of the night I have met are certainly filled with self-confidence about their bodies and looks and abilities, something many women would envy. It is just another job with challenges, risks, joys and disappointment. It's not a free lunch mind you.
